Our advocate volunteers are empathetic, supportive and reliable individuals who are effective communicators and excellent problem solvers. Advocacy volunteers support families and patients in numerous ways, either in person of via phone. The advocate role varies based on the situation, but advocates may suggest appropriate remediation to issues, may mediate meetings with clinical staff about client concerns or may attend doctor appointments to speak up for patients and record information as needed.
